CMS 5 Star Rated Facility Offering Longterm Care

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services developed a rating system to grade the 16,000 nursing homes in the United States that participate in Medicare and Medicaid. The system assigns nursing homes one to five star ratings based on health inspections surveys, staffing, RN staffing information, and quality of care data. A star rating is provided to each of these four sources, and then these four ratings are combined to calculate an overall rating with five-star being the highest honor.

The Five-Star Quality Rating System is not a substitute for visiting a nursing home where you can see first hand what the facility is like. This system gives you information to help you compare nursing homes by topics you consider most important and help you think of questions you may want to ask when visiting the facility.

Commitment to Quality

We are a proud to be a past recipient of the 2012 American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL) Bronze Commitment to Quality Award in recognition of our strong commitment to continuous quality improvment.

“It was with great honor that I accepted the award for 2012 Bronze Commitment to Quality on behalf of Park View Home in Tampa, Florida in October. Park View was presented with a lovely plaque that will be displayed in the town center. The bronze award recognizes facilities across the nation that have demonstrated their commitment to the quality improvement journey. This award has three levels, Park View may now move forward in developing approaches and achieving performance levels that meet the criteria for the silver award.

It is through our staff dedication and hard work that enabled us to win this award. Park View has an outstanding group of 100 employees that give endlessly to the residents that reside here and take pride in ensuring that quality and compassion is our goal and commitment.

Thank you to the families and residents who have chosen Park View to be their home and entrust our staff in caring for them each and everyday.”
